Reorder point calculator
You do not need forecasting software to decide when to reorder. Three inputs from your own data are enough: how fast a SKU sells, how long the supplier takes, and how much buffer you want against a bad week.

Reorder point
270 units
Place the order when stock on hand falls to this level.
- Expected sales during the lead time
- 240 units
- Safety stockRounded up to whole units.
- 30 units
Calculated in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us.
How it is calculated
- Safety stock = z × standard deviation of daily sales × √lead time in days
- Reorder point = average daily sales × lead time + safety stock
- z is higher for a higher service level (about 1.65 for roughly 95%)
Reading the result
- Seasonal or promotional spikes: take averages from comparable weeks, not the whole year.
- New SKUs with little history: borrow the pace of a similar product and review weekly.
- Unreliable suppliers: use the lead time you actually observe, including how much it varies.
